Michelle Jones has served as the Executive Director of Community Futures since 2018. A long-time resident of the Whitecourt/Woodlands area, Michelle has called the region home for over 35 years. During that time, she raised her family and built a strong foundation in both the retail and service industries, operating their own businesses for more than 25 years while also contributing as an employee across various sectors.

Michelle brings a wealth of experience working with both public and private sector organizations. Her professional background includes small business coaching and lending, researching, developing, and implementing programs, focused on social and economic development, crime prevention, and family violence prevention. She has also held numerous volunteer and leadership roles within local not-for-profit organizations.

Over the years, Michelle’s career has expanded to reflect a broader regional focus, furthering her impact across communities. Her passion for personal growth, small business, community and social development drives her to continually seek new learning opportunities and innovative ways to give back.

Outside of her professional life, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as taking part in a variety of outdoor activities.
